The officer ask Liz ," Excuse me, mam'am what are you doing ?"
"I'm..... Teaching this guy a lesson!"
"Excuse me , but you need to stop and I will let you off on a warning !"
"Yes sir...." , Liz says trying not to laugh
Maddie and Liz walk off laughing. Maddie was touched by the act that Liz did to defend her. Maddie started to see Liz with different eyes and appreciate Liz. Liz even started to have a emotional connection with Maddie. Maddie not having a mother was making her have a special relationship with Liz , who was a stranger who showed up at her door step.
"My driving test!!" , Maddie says to Liz
"What time is it?"
"Oh , no im going to be late!"
Maddie and Liz rush to the office. Upon arrive the man who grades the driver is walking inside.

Walking away.."Sorry mam'am i was waiting here and you didnt arrive", the man replies
"Come on sir. I have such a long day you don't understand. Please" , begs Maddie !
The man stops walking and Maddie's emotional plead works. Walking back the man decides to give Maddie a chance. Maddie jumps with happiness that something is going right. Liz, Maddie, and the man get in the car.
Maddie takes a deep breathe a little nervous about her driving test. The man gives her instructions .....stop her....turn here..."eeeer" scratches the car on the turn...
" Oops sorry "

Maddie continues to drive and takes a sharp turn...eeeerrrr...and not looking at the road trying to speak to the man....

"Oh no!"
Everyone grabs on to the Aaaaaah... They all scream ! Maddie just passed a stop sign ! The man is furious.
Just then a car pulls in behind them....Its Jock, the jewel thief
"Oh no! Step on it Maddie", Liz screams
" No , no ,no ...I request to get out of this car immediately!" , the man giving the test says
Maddie looked unsure of what to do at that right moment....ummmmm
He is getting closer and closer and it looks like he's going to stop them. This man is a dangerous! Just then Maddie stopped thinking and steps on the gas peddle. The car speeds tremendously up. Jock is catching up to them and as Maddie makes a turn , she loses him....

* Today's lesson is about how the devil wants to stop us. He keeps on insisting just as Jock did in the story. Jock knows that Maddie has his 13 billion dollar jewel necklace. He isn't going to stop until he gets it back. So my friend don't think because you are following God and going to church the devil will stop. No! He will try even harder. He will stop until the last breathe you take on earth! Even when you are born of God he will insist even more. He may not live in you, because you are born of God, but he will use situations around you or temptations to make you weak. So keep strong my friend! And stay in the faith because when you are in the fire the devil can't touch you. Don't look back but , go forward always :)
