Hello darlings, Here is my first tutorial on..... how to curl your hair :) For those of you who don't know , I am a cosmetologist/stylist ( my career). I will be posting more tips and suggestions on different hair types and topics. So stay posted! Comment if you have any suggestions or questions ! :)
Tips
- Check the temperature on flat iron to make sure it isn't too high for your hair.
(Thin hair requires less heat and thicker hair requires more heat) The max heat that should be used is what is needed to curl the hair. DON'T RAISE THE HEAT HIGHER TO MAKE CURL YOUR HAIR FASTER. This damages it.
- When curling your hair the key is to go slowly while pulling down. If you pull down too fast the curl will NOT form. (This is why the temperature is very important)
- Adding a little hairspray can help your curls stay longer.
- The straightener is usually better to use on thin hair because it last longer than when you use a curling iron. The curling iron i recommend for thicker or coarser hair.
- pay extra attention to the way you curl the hair in the front because this will give it the look you like, as this is what is seen throughout the day.
- Keep in mind your hair will look prettier if you condition it well and properly clean it.
- Clean hair after every 2 days (this is what I do and it makes your curls stay better and longer) but, if you must because of the oils in your hair feel free to wash daily
- When curling top hair, part your hair the way you want it to stay, then curl (if not this will cause you to cause the curl to look frizzy)
Love Natalie ,
ps. Hope these tips will help you !
