Love For God

Hello my dear readers! During this week I have learned and put into practice something that will help you. It made me grow spiritually. 

Love is not an emotion or passion. But it's a feeling that comes after sacrifice. Jesus shows us this when he sacrificed His own life, meaning He gave up His youth, His will, His everything. Just for you. How many times is this taught to us? Many, many , many times! We have the tendency that when we are already taught something and hear it again we take it for granted and don't really let ourselves learn again. When this happens to me my mind goes empty and it's as if that teaching goes out the window. Because we think, "Oh I already know that ...blah blah blahh..." 

We have to keep in mind dear assistant and servants, we must ALWAYS be humble to learn. This is the key. If you let your ego and pride win you will stop your growth completely. This is what impedes many servants of God grow more (leave that subject for another post). To the point.......

The love FOR God. "For". When we love someone even when we don't feel like it we do what this person is asking or needs. For example, when a mother has a newborn child. The baby cries a lot in the night. The mother is tired and almost feels impatient... but she chooses to be patient and get up to care for the baby's needs.Why? Because she loves her baby. 

When the servant of God sacrifices more for God consequently the love FOR God grows stronger in that person. Because sacrifice generates LOVE. But, why would I need the love FOR God more and more everyday? 

The more love FOR God you have the stronger your faith is and stronger your communion is with God. You find pleasure in the things of God all the time. It brings you joy, completeness, and you are always in the faith. It keeps the first love always there. 

What do I do if I don't have this in me? 

Start to sacrifice FOR God and you will see the love FOR God will grow in you. This is what I did and it worked. Don't say , "Oh but I lost the first love...my faith is weak" and be sad about it. NO! Sacrifice and go against your feelings. 

You will always have pleasure in the things of God when you sacrifice. This love will always keep you with the desire to grow everyday and be better for your God.

Ps. The picture above I chose because the love I have for my baby brother is so special. The love I have for my brother grows everyday and this is the way our love FOR God has grow also. Love a parent,mother,sister,etc has for a child represents the love God has for us :) Think about it.....
