Having to depend on someone ? What never! I don't want to! I want to have my own place, car, job, money. Growing up, young teens dream of their future and having their own life away from their parents. Because having to depend on parents for everything at one point in a youth's life becomes frustrating. All our lives our desires are usually on being independent in everything. We usually think to ourselves, if we depend on someone what a burden. That person can always fail us and what if that other person has other commitments and can't complete what we want. After all, we aren't the center of that other person's life. So we put in our mind , it ALL depends on me!
Being a servant of God requires that we on DEPENDENT on God. Though we dislike having to depend on someone. What is truly depending on God? Why does an assistant need to depend on God? We already have the Spirit of God. But the package that comes with the Spirit requires Dependence. Depending on someone is when you let go of "our independence" , which is our will. And follow the control of the Spirit of God. The consequence of this dependence is great results, great outcomes, and great victories.
Oh dear assistant you're the anointing everywhere you go. It's important you keep this dependence. Once you lose this you gain pride and in the end contaminating yourself and the church. You are required to take care of souls and your job is to maintain yourself in faith to bless others around you. Taking care of souls your spiritual life MUST always be reviewed and always must be growing.
Many assistants become independent and end of losing out of lots of blessings God has for them. If your spiritual life lacks so does the people of the church because you can;t give what you don't have.
So dear precious assistant , keep this dependence and remain humble to always receive God's word in order to grow.
In Faith , Natalie :)
ps. Pleasure sharing one of my experiences as an assistant.
